“Heavenly Peace” by Catherine Thompson

I created this piece because I wanted a simple, yet personal nativity scene to have in my home at Christmas time. 

The lace interior pattern is inspired by olive branches which symbolize peace and a 6 pointed flower in Mary that symbolizes the Star of David. 

Joseph and Mary also each have a tear in their eyes symbolizing the indescribable spirit of the moment.
